Getting Started
Welcome to Scentpression. Follow these steps to unbox and set up your cold air diffusion system for the best experience.
- Carefully remove your diffuser and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage before discarding packaging materials.
- Place your diffuser on a stable, flat surface in a well-ventilated area. Avoid placing it on carpet or uneven surfaces.
- Keep the unit away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and areas with excessive moisture.
- Position the diffuser centrally within the space you wish to scent for optimal fragrance distribution.
- Connect the power adapter to the unit and plug it into a grounded outlet before inserting your fragrance oil bottle.
Oil Usage & Refilling
Scentpression diffusers use cold air nebulizing technology that disperses fragrance without heat or water. Proper oil handling ensures consistent performance and longevity.
- Insert the fragrance oil bottle directly into the diffuser's designated reservoir port. Each model has a specific bottle orientation, refer to your user manual for details.
- Use only Scentpression-approved fragrance oils. Third-party oils may clog the nozzle or void your warranty.
- Never mix different oils in the same bottle. Cross-contamination alters the scent profile and can damage internal components.
- When replacing a fragrance, remove the old bottle and insert the new one. If switching between very different fragrance families, run a cleaning cycle first.
Oil capacity by model:
- Compact Series, 200mL bottle
- Pro Series, 500mL bottle
- Commercial Series, 800mL bottle
Cleaning Your Diffuser
Regular cleaning keeps your diffuser performing at its best and ensures pure, unaltered scent output.
- Monthly cleaning is recommended for residential use. Commercial units in high-traffic environments may require bi-weekly cleaning.
- To clean the nozzle, remove the fragrance bottle and apply a small amount of isopropyl alcohol (90% or higher) to a cotton swab. Gently clean the nozzle opening and surrounding area.
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks, lightly dampen the cloth with water, never use harsh chemical cleaners.
- Never submerge the diffuser in water or allow liquid to enter the electrical components.
- Always clean the nozzle when switching between fragrance families (e.g., moving from a citrus scent to a woody scent) to prevent scent blending.
Bluetooth & App Setup
Control your Scentpression diffuser remotely using our mobile application for scheduling, intensity adjustments, and more.
- Download the ScentPression 2.0 App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device and ensure your diffuser is powered on.
- Open the app, tap "Add Device," and select your diffuser model from the list. Follow the on-screen pairing instructions.
- Once paired, you can schedule scenting times, set your diffuser to run during business hours, evenings, or custom time blocks.
- Adjust scent intensity from the app's control panel. Lower settings are ideal for small rooms; higher settings suit open-plan or commercial spaces.
Troubleshooting
If your diffuser is not operating as expected, try the following solutions before contacting support.
Diffuser not misting:
- Check the oil level, refill or replace the bottle if it is empty or nearly empty.
- Clean the nozzle with isopropyl alcohol, as residue buildup can block output.
- Verify the power connection. Try a different outlet to rule out electrical issues.
- Ensure the fragrance bottle is properly seated in the reservoir port.
Weak scent output:
- Increase the intensity setting via the ScentPression 2.0 App or the unit's manual controls.
- Check that the room has adequate ventilation, stagnant air can reduce scent distribution.
- Clean the nozzle to remove any partial blockages affecting mist volume.
- Confirm you are using the correct diffuser model for your room size.
Bluetooth won't connect:
- Restart both your mobile device and the diffuser, then attempt to pair again.
- Remove the diffuser from your Bluetooth device list and re-pair from scratch via the app.
- Ensure you are within 30 feet (10 meters) of the diffuser, with no major obstructions.
- Update the ScentPression 2.0 App to the latest version available in your app store.
Safety Guidelines
Please observe the following safety precautions when using any Scentpression diffuser system.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets. Diffuser units and fragrance oils should be stored and operated in areas inaccessible to young children.
- Do not ingest fragrance oils. If accidental ingestion occurs, contact poison control immediately.
- Avoid direct skin contact with concentrated fragrance oils. If contact occurs, wash the area thoroughly with soap and water.
- Use the diffuser in well-ventilated spaces. Prolonged use in small, enclosed areas without airflow is not recommended.
- Do not use near open flames or ignition sources. While Scentpression oils are designed for cold air diffusion, concentrated fragrance oils may be flammable.
- Unplug the diffuser when it will not be in use for extended periods (more than 72 hours).
- All Scentpression fragrance oils are IFRA-compliant, meeting international safety standards for fragrance use in consumer and commercial environments.
HVAC System Maintenance
For diffusers integrated into HVAC or central air systems, additional maintenance considerations apply.
- Professional maintenance is recommended every 6 months to inspect connections, clean inline components, and ensure optimal scent distribution through ductwork.
- Contact Scentpression directly to schedule a service appointment. Our technicians are trained to service all Scentpression HVAC integration models.
- Do not attempt to service HVAC-connected diffuser components yourself, as improper handling may affect both the diffuser and your HVAC system.
Warranty Information
Scentpression stands behind the quality of every diffuser system we sell.
- All diffuser hardware is covered by a 1-year limited warranty from the date of purchase.
- The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions.
- The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, damage resulting from misuse, unauthorized modifications, or use of non-approved fragrance oils.
